The Latest Happenings!

So what's been "happening with the Hermanns" lately?

If you follow me on instagram, you are probably pretty up to date. I seem to be pretty good at that. My phone is always handy...unlike the big bulky camera and it's so easy to pop a picture up to share...easy peasy...no extra time needed. If you don't follow along via instagram...you should! Life lately has consisted of this...

 {1} Andy and I started working out again. I know it may not look like it, but I still have a solid 8lbs. to lose to get to my pre-Hadley weight. We get up bright and early at 4:45am (which bites the big one, but is truly the only way)! We started Insanity 3 weeks ago, but went into with low expectations. We don't follow it "by the book"...3 days a week is what we are doing right now. Honestly, most of my mornings are now spent on the elliptical instead. Call me an Insanity drop out if you must, but it wasn't working for me. I was making so many modifications that I didn't feel like I was getting a valid workout. I burn so many more calories keeping my heart rate up on the elliptical and enjoy it SO much more. Andy is still going strong with Insanity and I try to join him at least 1 out of the 3 days....for a little toning action. While getting up early is awful, we are so glad we do because we can almost always be showered and ready for the day before either babe makes a peep...except for today...little miss decided to join us:)

{2} We went to preschool open house and Meyer is officially enrolled for next year! I could cry at the thought. A post on that is coming soon....

{3} We booked our 5 year anniversary trip. We've had this trip planned since our honeymoon, and I'm so excited it's happening! See you in January 2014 Maui/Grand Wailea...oh how I've missed you! 

{4} We celebrated St. Patrick's Day by wearing our green of course! 

...and taking H's traditional holiday picture! 

{5} Hadley is 3 months old...say what? How did this happen?

{6} Meyer is doing amazing with his potty training. He hasn't had an accident since last Wednesday. I'm so proud of my big boy!

{7} Both kiddos have colds. Meyer woke up a few nights ago coughing and had a runny nose by morning. Despite my valiant efforts at sanitizing, quarantining and trying to keep germy toddler hands away from little miss...it happened. I saw the first little bit of snot come out of her nose and I almost lost it! I knew she didn't have much of a chance of being spared, but I was hoping. So far it's very very mild. She doesn't even have a runny nose...it's more just slight congestion. She's handling it like a champ and is basically sleeping it off. I knew in my head she would be sick sooner than Meyer was and will probably be sick more often, but it doesn't make it easier. She's just too little to be sick:(

Any bets on how long before mommy gets it? I'm going with any second!

{8} The Easter Bunny has been busy preparing for the big day! I was at a total loss as to what to get Meyer, but I think I finally decided on something perfect that I know he will love. Hadley's basket arrived and she has been waiting patiently in it for the bunny to deliver her goodies!

...and that's pretty much it for the Hermanns lately! See what I mean? Not too much exciting to report.
